While it looks very cool, unless they come up with a powerful lightweight engine and fuel that is light and stored in a protected place, I just don't see it anytime soon. It might be easier to put big tires on a gunship (AH-1) and drive it on the ground... But why bother with the ground at all, when you can fly.
