The company I work for had a summer picnic on Friday, and the best part was I got paid to be there (I was on the medical response team, fortunately we had no customers).
Here's a little taste of what we saw:
Acrobats
and sand castles
and FOOOD!!!
and bouncy houses
and pretty girls on stilts
and water baloons
and henna tattoos
and rock wall climbing
and lights.
All in all, it was a pretty good time.
Well, hell! I wish I'd known you were going to be around. I'd have crashed the party.
ReplyDeleteRoomie invited me to go as her guest, even though she was working that night - as a way to thumb my nose at the assholes who fired me. I declined, since, as you well know, I'm not a people person, and I prefer to avoid situations that may very well end in me being led away in handcuffs. Plus, it's been long enough that I doubt if I'd recognize any of the few people who are still there that I knew from my tenure there.
Even so, it would have been priceless to see the look on DH's face if I had shown up and just happened to bump into him. Oh, well. Maybe next year.
I didn't see him there, but yes it would have been priceless. There's always the Christmas party. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by!
