Call your Dad.
Even if you don't get along with him. As I told one of my friends who didn't get along with his Dad, if these must be the last words you ever say to him, say "I love you Dad" and then just hang up the phone. He did, and a year later his Dad was gone.
Best advice I ever gave.

I was always close to my Dad. He died in 1980, I was 24. I still miss him.
My Dad is still with us, he's still my hero and I still want to be just like him if I ever decide to grow up.
Thanks for dropping by Robert!
My last words to my father were, "Burn in hell!"
Sadly he has yet to do so.
My feelings are mild compared to my brother, just in case you thought it was JUST me.
I've done far better by my son and he actually loves me. Got valve stem caps and a .50 BMG knife this year!
At least he was a good bad example.
Thanks for dropping by McThag!

Mine is still my hero too. And I'm just like he was, a tough old beat up blue collar conservative/libertarian.
Dad was a Democrat of the JFK type, not the current bunch. The one thing we really disagreed about was his voting for Jimmy "The Peanut" Carter. We argued (good naturadlly) for a couple of years. He didn't get to the next election, but I think he would have voted for Reagan.
