So there was this TEA party in Raleigh last Thursday.
I don't blame you if you missed it. It certainly didn't show up on any of the news channels that I saw.
That doesn't mean that certain people can afford to pretend it didn't happen.

Getting There

Why is it when the left has protests, they are called the highest form of patriotism; and when the real folks protest, they are called all sorts of vile names, and accused of violence? The level of hypocrisy in Washington DC makes my stomach roil.
November is coming!
Indeed it is.
Thanks for dropping by Mike!
Now now Mike, do as we say not as we do. ;-)
The problem I see is that the left doesn't play by the rules, but the right does.
What amazes me are the amount of people who seem to be surprised that Obama turned out to be a socialist.
The day that Obama defeated McStain, I had a college class. In that class I had an insane liberal classmate. I made an offhand comment along the lines of, "Great we just elected a socialist."
This dumb lib kid spewed "What are you talking about, he isn't a socialist! You're just upset because your Neocon didn't win."
I had to use all of my self control to keep from jumping the table and...
Anyway, I told him, "He is a socialist he said it himself. Don't you remember when he told Joe the Plumber, ‘We need to spread the wealth around?’”
All I got was a blank look. A few days later we were discussing grades, tests, and curves. The teacher (who was a conservative from Boston go figure) asked for ideas. I raised my hand and suggested we have a Redistribution of Grades plan.
I went on to explain that those students who got A’s and B’s should be forced to give up a few points off of their exam score and give them to those students who were less fortunate. You know someone with a D or C who didn’t work as hard should be given the points from the student who studied hard and got the A.
The teacher gave me a wicked smile and the Lib kid immediately spoke up, he got good grades. “Whoa, what are you thinking taking grade points from the students that worked hard and giving them to those who didn’t. That’s crazy.”
I turned to him and smiled, “Well I thought you liked the redistribution of wealth, you know spread the wealth around. What’s wrong with spreading the grades around?”
He then said the most illogical thing I have ever heard. “Well I’m fine with spreading wealth around, just not grades.”
What’s sad about this kid is that he wanted to become a lawyer, heaven help us if he actually makes it through law school.
It is so interesting to me to read peoples accounts of tea parties. *Felt like a church picnic etc. versus how the MarxSpewMedia try to help the regime spin them.
Hey Larry -- I'm a rookie Soliders Angel and have been assigned a navy seaman. His profile had sheets and pillowcases as requested items. I found this outfit called navyfleetsheets.com, I think they might be pretty new, but have you heard good or bad about them? I've had zero luck finding plain single size sheets anywhere else.
Also --would it be good to send two sets or would that hog limited storage space? He is AZAN which seems to be first year enlisted from my web searching.
You do indeed get more, and more pertinent, information from the people who were actually there.
One minor quibble, your Navy guy would be an airman, not a seaman. An AZ maintains aircraft records (logbooks, etc) and an AN is an Airman, or E-3. He will always be an AZ, but not always an AN (one would hope). And yes, he would be on his first tour.
I haven't ever heard of navyfleetsheets.com but fitted rack sheets would be great! I wish I had them when I was haze gray and underway. We had flat single sheets that you had to fold around the mattress.
I would probably go with the rack sheets, not the ones with the command insignia.
Thanks for dropping by Teresa!
Oh, and two sets would be good. One in the laundry and one on the rack. He will find room for them (I would have).
Moose, I have nothing more to add. Thanks for dropping by!
