Armalite employee is a festering douchepile.
If AR indeed stands for Armalite I guess I'll be taking AR off of my "Guns I Want" list.

Don't let Eagle Arms, er Armalite dissuade you from an AR.
AR stands for Armalite Rifle, not ARmalite.
The Armalite that developed it and sold the production rights to Colt was a subsidiary of Fairchild Aircraft, makers of the A-10A!
The name languished for decades before Eagle Arms bought it out in the '90's.
You can easily by an AR in any number of configurations and not give them a single cent of your hard earned money. In fact, buying one from an alternate vendor is a better protest than not buying one at all. You reward their competitors.
I disliked them buying the name and then putting on airs like they'd had this long tradition of making the guns dating back to Project Agile.
Thanks for the info Angus. Maybe I'll have to get a York lower and build one up a bit at a time.
