An old Navy buddy that Laura considered a brother has made contact via Facebook.
I had to tell him the bad news. We had not talked to him in many years.
I think he summed it up well when he said "I just can't believe she's gone."

Same thing happened to me, in a way.
I finally found my high school history teacher online. Only, it was her obituary from 2007. I never got to tell her goodbye. She was a great friend, and the loss of so many years still stings.
You never know how much time you have, so cherish every moment.
