Notes For Trainers

either real or imagined:

1) Disparaging remarks about the training I have just received and the trainers that provided it will not convince me that I need to train with you.

2) If I ask you what you teach, I expect an answer. A question is not an answer. Asking me what I want to know is a question, the answer being "I want to know what you teach" which, oddly enough, was the original question.

3) If you can offer "the same class" at 1/3 the price I will probably expect 1/3 the training, either in facilities or in experience. In your case I would assume both.

Sooo..I'm gonna guess that you passed on that particular class?

On that particular trainer anyway since he really didn't tell me what courses he offered or what the benefit would be to taking them, all he wanted to do was rip on the instructors of the last class I took.

Let's just say that his actions did not lead me to trust him.

Perhaps he should have said something like, "They offer pretty good training, but you should give us a try. We are a little closer, our training is less expensive, and our trainers are top notch. Here's my card." That would have been a professional approach.

He managed to give the impression that his range ran by "Big Boy Rules."

That's pretty unprofessional of whoever it was.

Also, am I correct in reading that the instructor in question was ripping on TigerSwan?

Yup, that's the impression I got, also.
Basically when he referred to the lead instructor by calling him a derogatory name I stopped listening.
Thanks for dropping by Sean.

Hey, you can't just leave it like that.

Tell us who this loser is so the rest of us can avoid him like leprosy.

Tam...very unprofessional to say the least. And yes, you read that correctly.
Knitebane...sorry, the guy made such a huge impression on me that I don't even remember his name, and as Sean pointed out he didn't hand out any business cards. Not like I would have kept it anyway.
Thanks for dropping by!
