One Year

That's how long it's been since my wife's diagnosis.

Things have not worked out as well as we had hoped, but nowhere near as bad as I had feared.

Today we spent the whole day not talking about it.

Oh my God. I'm so very sorry; that piece you wrote made me cry for you and for her. It hit me right in the heart. I'm glad she's still here and I'm glad things aren't as bad as you feared. I hope she makes a full recovery, and will pray for her. God bless you both.

My husband doesn't read my online stuff either; he feels much the same as your wife. But sometimes it's our lifeline, isn't it? :(

It was one of those moments that makes you freeze inside, one that I would not wish on my worst enemy. It was also at that moment that I realized that I did not show my appreciation for her each and every day. I do that now, and will for however long we have together, be that one year or a hundred.
Thankfully for Mr. Fixit things turned out well.
Sometimes it is a lifeline, at least it's a place to let things all hang out for a while when needed.
Thanks for dropping by Annie.
