Another One Bites The Dust

Mi compadre at work has turned in his notice. He's accepted another position closer to where he lives.

And he didn't even offer to take me with him, the bastitch. (I'm only half joking here. See previous post. Note that I didn't know he was leaving until I got in today.)

Good luck Jason, it was a pleasure working with you.

So, do you think your POS boss is ready to correct the mistake that he made almost five years ago?

D'ya think he even acknowledges he made one?

Good point.

Heh. I know a few bosses who will not admit that they ever were wrong or made a mistake. Today, for example, was my LAST EFFIN' DAY working for one of those turdburgers. My new job starts bright-n-early tomorrow mornin'.

I don't have to deal with him much cause I work nights. Or maybe that should be, I work nights so that I don't have to deal with him much. Either way works.

Congrats on the new job!

Larry- followed you over from AoS. Re: the Memphis move, I'd look at Nashville instead. Shelby County, TN is the crime-ridden rectum of our beautiful state, and even the suburbs aren't all that great.

Clarksville (5th, about to be 4th) biggest city in TN is an hour north of Nashville on the Kentucky border, and here there's Fort Campbell to exploit for all the usual retiree features.

Welcome to the Refuge fellow moron!

I actually considered Nashville but it's still too far east (IE, too far away from the parents). I was looking for something somewhat equidistant from Jacksonville FL (eldest daughter), Raleigh NC (middle daughter and eldest son), and Clarinda IA (parents/siblings).

If I go to Memphis I won't be in the city proper, probably a little north. NAS is in Millington for the retiree features, plus I sort of know my way around the place having been there twice for school.

Thanks for dropping by!
