Huh...

I'm gonna have to try this.

It's close to the house (closer than Fayetteville, where the VMBAR matches are held) and I know I can do well with either of my Marlins, plus Boy can shoot with me if he wants to (and I'm pretty sure he will want to).

And even if I suck at it, a bad day shooting (or a day of bad shooting) is still a pretty good day.

Cold, rainy, and blustery day on the range is infinitely better than a warm sunny day at work.

That looks like it would be awesome! I've got an old Winchester Model74 .22 that I'd love to run through something like that!

I've been meaning to take the Arisaka and the Mosin down to one of their Vintage Military Bolt Action Rifle matches, but Camp Butner is a lot closer and truth be told I'm better with either of the .22's than I am with the Arisaka, and they don't kick nearly as bad as the Mosin (can't use the gel-filled pad in the VMBAR match).
