Navy sent its ships out to sea from Norfolk today. Prudent planning of course, but a nasty hurricane 'round these parts is MUCH more likely than an earthquake.

So much for "odds", eh?

Ships at sea can run, ships in port not so much. I'd rather be on a carrier than a small ship, they get tossed about pretty good in heavy seas.
Yep, the earthquake was quite the surprise. I slept through the whole thing , my kids tell me it was like standing next to the tracks when the freight train comes by.
