The Story

28:5 And the angel answered and said unto the women,
Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.
Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead;
and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

28:8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy;
and did run to bring his disciples word.

Matthew 28:5-8

(The rabbit had nothing to do with it.)

Happy Easter everyone!

The way I figured it, since the disciples/apostles were all sitting around whilst the women went out to check the gravesite, they must have been doing manly things like scratching itches and discussing the future. And eating rabbit. Cuz that's manly, too.

(no, I haven't run this past my pastor to check theological validity, although I'm pretty sure he'd laugh. Whilst shaking his head. And planning to introduce excommunication into the S. Baptist creed so that he could excommunicate me.)
